If my day starts this early, then it’s either because of work or something is very wrong. In today’s case, it was because I had fever (102°C/215.6°F). Apart from tossing in my bed and controlling the urge to kick my sister who was sleeping like a log, I dreamt about writing a poem (the words my brain conveniently chose to forget), met my school friend and then there was something about water and fighter planes shooting at me… Yea! Weird indeed.
I woke up feeling utterly crappy. My body was aching and head was swimming. I couldn’t take a day off from work as this was my second day after a long vacation and I had a lot of work to finish that only I could do.
So why exactly am I treating this online space as ‘Dear Diary’?
Well, here’s the moral of the story — No matter how bad your day might be there is always something or someone who can bring a ray of sunshine when it’s needed the most. Here’s my list:
♠ As I went to sleep early, I didn’t have time to organize my stuff for the next — my bag and clothes. And even when I was sleeping, I was dreaming about what I could possibly wear, but it was all hazy. But when I woke up, there it was my stack of clothes all ready to be worn. Courtesy my sister whom I wanted to kick.
♣ My friend wrote a blog about me!!!! I didn’t see it coming and this is the first time it has ever happened, so obviously I am happy. Here’s the link to it: http://sanchdash.blogspot.in/2014/06/big-things-come-in-small-packages.html
♥ I spoke to two bloggers, aged 19 and 21, from Hyderabad, India, who earn around $10,000 every month AND they are still studying. There started making that much money after six months and update their blogs TWICE a day! Apart from going ‘holy cow’, I was also motivated to write more.
♦ Then there was this awesome video (McDonald`s GOL! FIFA World Cup Brasil 2014 — https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Smh0QXSmF-A) and a Facebook group (Puppy Rescue Mission — https://www.facebook.com/puppyrescuemission) that sealed the day for me.
Hence, I conclude by saying that you might be having the worst day of your life, but if you only open yourself to the possibilities of the love surrounding you, the day could perhaps me made a little (in my case, a lot) better.
We may say we value this thing or that thing more than any other, but the volume of our actions speaks louder than our words. (Louie Giglio)
