The Little Flower

this
What if I Fall, Oh but my darling what if you fly. (Erin Hanson)

Lies all alone on the wooden table
a little flower called to rise to the big occasion.
A lover’s caress or the symbol of death,
the little petals and leaves struggle to meet
what they might never have wanted to do.

But today is different.
the pink flower is not the centre of attention.
But it’s because of its beauty though
that two lives are little more brighter.
