Refusal to accept a life of unhappiness

take this
Portable joy

Why?

Because Kate Winslet said so.

When and how?

I do not remember. I was sifting through a sea of information online and my soul anchored itself to the words that splashed across the TV screen and for once, I wasn’t tempted to grab a piece of cloth and wipe away the mess.

Why does it matter?

Because…

a) When you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel coming up any time soon, you grab a few rocks and go the cave man way — you create your own joy.

b) Just because unhappiness wants to be your everlasting BFF, you still get the option to say NO. Just because you feel a certain way, doesn’t mean it’s true. Just because it’s Monday, doesn’t mean you have to feel blue.

c) You sometimes need to be selfish and think about yourself. Because no one loves you more than you.

So I say again what K — I am sure in an alternate universe we address each other with such fondness… or perhaps not — randomly told a million viewers watching TV on Tuesday evening: Refusal to accept a life of unhappiness…

Lies in YOU.
